I love the way light plays on the beads in this gorgeous one-of-a-kind necklace. As you can see in the photos, depending on the direction and strength of light you’ll see not only a color shift on these flat pear-shaped beads, but also subtle flashes of color and a golden glow from the faceted ovals. In a variation on a pattern by Kat Silvia, I’ve used Czech glass in two shapes and colors: flat pears in etched full sliperit and faceted fire-polished ovals in opaline. I’ve complemented them with starlight Toho Permafinish seed beads. The final touches are a gold-plated spring-ring clasp and extension chain. This necklace adjusts from 16 to 18 inches in length.
